Here's some info about Abbie

I have grown up and studied in Christchurch, achieving a Batchelor of Arts Degree in English and Classics, and living in various beautiful locations around the South Island. I then embarked on the kiwi adventure of traveling and living overseas for many years, and pursuing my passion for snowboarding in the French Alps. This experience sparked my interest in massage and the natural therapies, drawing me back 'home' to Christchurch to begin my training in the field of bodywork and rehabilitation.

Having completed my Diploma in Massage Therapy at the Canterbury College of Natural Medicine, I am now a registered remedial Massage therapist (RMT) with the Massage Association of New Zealand. I have worked with a wide variety of clients from sports people, pregnant woman, OOS sufferers, those with chronic conditions, the elderly, and those looking for stress relief and relaxation. I do hold a particular interest in the area of sports massage and the results it can bring to both the recreational and professional athlete. As part of my service I like to design an effective customized massage treatment to address the individual needs of my clients - helping relax, rejuvenate and realign.

The healthy benefits of Massage therapy includes:

  • Improved circulation
  • Assisting rehabilitation after injury
  • Reducing the bodies recovery time after physical activity
  • Relaxing muscles
  • Relieving stress
  • Improved flexibility and Range of Motion
  • Help with pain management
  • Improved postural awareness
  • Relieving tension-related headaches
